A hot and spicy vegan menu option, our Three Bean Chilli recipe makes a great addition to a ‘grab and go menu’, as a standalone dish served with UNCLE BEN’S® long grain rice or it can even be used as a burrito filling – this recipe offers caterers extra versatility! Simply decant the UNCLE BEN’S® Chilli Con Carne Sauce straight from the jar into the mix and cook alongside the diced vegetables with and spices for a delicious vegan twist on a street food favourite.

Three Bean Chilli Recipe

400g Onions – chopped
400g Peppers – chopped
2 Tsp Chilli Powder
2 Tsp Ground Cumin
1kg UNCLE BEN’S Chilli Con Carne Sauce
1200g Canned mixed beans, drained
200g Mushrooms
2 Tbsp Chopped Coriander
10ml Cooking Oil


How to make Three Bean Chilli:

  1. Prepare the vegetables and mix in the dry spices – 5 mins
  2. Heat the cooking oil in a large pan and add in the onions, mushrooms and peppers, stir fry until soft and slightly brown – 10mins
  3. Stir in the UNCLE BEN’S Chilli Con Carne Sauce and mixed beans, mix well. Cover with a lid and simmer – 20 mins
  4. Serve – garnish with chopped coriander
