Horlicks Chocoland Design Competition Terms and Conditions
Welcome to the Horlicks Chocoland Design Competition! Parents, guardians, and family members are invited to submit their child’s creative design for “Horlicks Chocoland” for a chance to have it featured on Horlicks Kids Chocoland (270g) packaging in 2026. Please read these Horlicks Chocoland Design Competition Terms and Conditions (Ts&Cs) carefully before entering. By submitting an entry, you agree to be bound by these Ts&Cs and are also accepting these Ts&Cs on behalf of the Child.
Tangerine Partnership Limited is supporting Aimia Foods Limited with content creation and social media capture for this competition. The competition is run and administered solely by Aimia Foods Limited.
1. The Promoter
The promoter is: Aimia Foods Limited, Penny Lane, Haydock, Merseyside, WA11 0QZ.
2. The competition
2.1 The title of the competition is Horlicks Chocoland Design Competition.
2.2 The competition invites Entrants to submit a design created by a Child that imagines their own version of “Horlicks Chocoland” (a “Design”). A “Child” means any person who is under the age of 14 at the time of entry into the competition. An “Entrant” means a UK resident that is a parent, legal guardian, grandparent, or any other family member of a child who is aged 18 or over and who is submitting a competition entry on behalf of that child.
2.3 The winning Design will be selected and featured on “Horlicks Kids Chocoland (270g)” packaging at some point during 2026. The competition is intended to celebrate creativity and imagination, and entries are encouraged to be colourful, fun, and original.
2.4 Three winners will be selected from a shortlist compiled by the Promoter. One or more winners may be required to participate in post-competition engagement activities, including a shoot day and social media content creation, as further described in section 6 below.
3. How to enter
3.1 The competition will run from 00:01 on 1st October 2025 (the “Opening Date”) to 23:59 on 30th November 2025 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive (the “Competition Period”).
3.2 All competition entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than 23:59 on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
3.3 To enter the competition, the Entrant must submit a design created by a Child that depicts the Child’s imaginative version of “Horlicks Chocoland”.
3.4 Entries may be submitted using one of the following platforms:
3.4.1 Facebook: by posting the Design image and any accompanying comment under Facebook posts relating to the Horlicks Chocoland Design Competition on the official Horlicks UK Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/HorlicksUK)
3.4.2 Instagram: by following the link in the bio of the official Horlicks Instagram account (@horlicksuk), which will direct entrants to the Horlicks website competition page, and then completing the steps set out in section 3.4.3; or
3.4.3 Directly on the Horlicks website: enter the competition online by creating an online account and submitting the Design image using the designated competition entry form provided on https://www.horlicks.co.uk.
3.5 Each entry must:
3.5.1 be submitted by an Entrant; and
3.5.2 feature a design of “Horlicks Chocoland” created by a Child.
3.6 No purchase is necessary to enter the competition and there is no charge to register for use of the website or to submit an entry.
3.7 By submitting an entry, the Entrant confirms that:
3.7.1 they have read and agree to these Ts&Cs. Please https://www.aimiafoods.com/legal-notes/horlicks-chocoland-tcs/ for a copy of these Ts&Cs;
3.7.2 they are submitting a Design that has been created by a Child;
3.7.3 the Design is original, not copied from any third party, and does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights; and
3.7.4 they have obtained any necessary permissions to submit the design on behalf of the Child.
3.8 The Promoter will not accept:
3.8.1 responsibility for competition entries that are corrupted, not successfully completed or transmitted, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, website, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
3.8.2 proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.

3.9 The competition entries will be judged by a panel of three judges appointed by the Promoter. See section 6.1 for further details.
3.10 The Promoter will send the full names of the judges to anyone who writes within one month after the Closing Date of the competition requesting details of the judges and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the address set out in section 1.
4. Eligibility
4.1 The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over, except:
4.1.1 employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
4.1.2 employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
4.1.3 members of the immediate families or households of individuals referred to in sections 1.1 and 4.1.2 above.
4.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
4.3 The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
4.3.1 automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);
4.3.2 illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
4.3.3 photocopies and not originals; or
4.3.4 incomplete.
4.4 Joint submissions are not allowede. two children cannot work on a Design together.
4.5 Collaborative entries (with adult assistance) are permitted, but the Design must be the child’s own work.
4.6 The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
4.7 Competition entries cannot be returned.
5. The prize
5.1 The prize is that the winning Design will be selected and featured on “Horlicks Kids Chocoland (270g)” packaging at some point during 2026.
5.2 The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.
5.3 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
6. Winners SELECTION AND prize ANNOUNCEMENT
6.1 The competition entries will be judged by a panel of three judges appointed by the Promoter. The judges will assess entries based on creativity, originality, and adherence to the competition theme. The three winners will be selected at the judges’ sole discretion, and the decision of the panel of judges (acting reasonably) will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. If no entry is suitable for use on product packaging i.e. because it does not meet the standards (of creativity, originality, and adherence to the competition theme), the Promoter reserves the right not to award the prize, and such a decision will be made transparently and documented.
6.2 Entries will be shortlisted internally by the Promoter by 23:59 on 2nd December 2025. The three winners shall be selected at the judges’ discretion from the shortlist (each, a “Winner” and together, the “Winners”). The Winner is the Child who created the Design. The Winner will be contacted via the Entrant by the Promoter by using the email address provided with the competition entry, as soon as practicable after the draw and by no later than 5:30pm on 5th December 2025.
6.3 The public reveal of the Winners will take place on 22nd December 2025 via Horlicks’ official Instagram and Facebook platforms. If a Winner and their relevant Entrant cannot be contacted or do not respond within 7 days of being contacted, the judges reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to select a replacement winner from the shortlist.
6.4 The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will publish the surname and county of the Winner and, if applicable, their winning entries on the official Horlicks Instagram and Facebook pages on 22nd December 2025.
6.5 If you object to any or all of the Winner’s surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter on contactus@aimiafoods.com. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
7. WINNER’S OBLIGATIONS
7.1 The Winner may be required to participate in a photoshoot day (up to a maximum of 8 hours) at the Promoter’s discretion at a location specified by the Promoter.
7.2 Content from the photoshoot referred to in section 7.1 may be edited into a 60–90 second video and may be shared across Horlicks’ social media channels, including but not limited to Meta/Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
7.3 The Winner may also be required to participate in other publicity activities, including but not limited to:
7.3.1 other social media engagements; and
7.3.2 a visit to the Promoter’s premises (e.g. food production site).
7.4 The Winner agrees to cooperate with the Promoter in relation to any such publicity events and acknowledges that the Promoter may use the Winner’s name, photo, and submitted design in promotional materials, subject to applicable data protection laws.
7.5 The Winner must be available for such activities up to 31st March 2026, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Promoter.
7.6 The Promoter shall pay for the Winner (and their Entrant’s) reasonable travel and expenses (where pre-approved in writing by the Promoter) in relation to travel and attendance of the events listed in this section 7.
8 . Limitation of liability
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
9. Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights
9.1 All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt and will not be returned.
9.2 By submitting your competition entry and any accompanying material, and in consideration of the Design being entered into the competition, you:
9.2.1 assign absolutely to the Promoter all intellectual property rights held by you and/or the relevant Child in the competition entry free from all third party rights;
9.2.2 waive absolutely all moral rights in the Design;
9.2.3 confirm that no third party owns any copyright and intellectual property rights (wherever they exist) in and to the Design; and
9.2.4 you are transferring to the Promoter, all your copyright and other intellectual property rights (wherever they exist) in and to the Design free from any third-party rights.
9.3 To the extent that this section 9 is not sufficient to transfer the ownership of the intellectual property rights in the Design to the Promoter or to waive all moral rights in the Design, you shall (and shall ensure that any other third party shall) enter into such other documents and do such other things as we reasonably require to transfer these intellectual property rights to us and to waive such moral rights.
10. Data protection and publicity
10.1 The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the Promoter’s privacy policy which can be accessed here: https://www.horlicks.co.uk/policies/privacy-policy. See also clause 6 with regard to the announcement of the Winner.
11. General
11.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Ts&Cs, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
11.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so (for example, where retailers discontinue selling Horlicks products or Horlicks products have been discontinued altogether).
11.3 The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Ts&Cs at any time where such amendment is necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or guidance issued by a regulatory authority. Any such amendments will be made available on the Horlicks website and, where appropriate, communicated to Entrants via the competition platforms.
11.4 These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this competition wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
