Matcha had been the latest accessory to be taking social media by storm. Instagram and TikTok are flooded with picture and videos Millennials and Gen-Z taking on the green aesthetic with a matcha in hand at all times.
You may be asking yourself, what is matcha? Matcha is essentially a Japanese green tea powder made from vibrant tea leaves. As matcha is made from tea leaves, it contains more caffeine than regular green tea but less than coffee.
Not only is matcha aesthetically pleasing but it is said to have a range of health benefits, including being high in natural antioxidants which may help to lower blood pressure and enhance brain function.
With the matcha trend showing no signs of slowing down and Millennials and Gen-Z, it’s the new menu must have.
