Aimia Foods - FAQs

  • We supply business-to-business including Muliple Grocers (supermarkets), Cash & Carry, Contract Caterers, Vending Operators, Foodservice Wholesalers and Distributiors.  We regret that we cannot  supply directly to end user customers i.e. individual members of the public or individual outlets e.g. restaurants, pubs or offices.

  • Yes you need to have a trade account set up with us.  You can apply for a trade account by calling 01942 272900.  Alternatively you can download an application form, print and complete it before posting / faxing it back to us.  Setting up an account is usually possible within 2 working days subject to satisfactory credit references, which we will apply for.  You can then order by phone, fax or e-mail.  We do not yet have e-commerce ordering but we are working on it!

  • We make deliveries in full pallet quantities throughout the UK, Republic of Ireland, IOM and Channel Islands.  Your goods will be delivered on a pre-agreed day either AM or PM within 5 days from date of order for all ex stock items.

    Deliveries of 6 pallets or more can be delivered at a specific pre-determined timed slot at no extra charge (time deliveries below 6 pallets will incur a £10 surcharge). 

    It is possible to mix pallets however we like to take individual product orders in full layers - as this helps in the stacking of the products and helps to prevent damages in transit.  Your customer care advisor will help you build full pallets at the time of ordering - alternatively our website and product portfolio both contain details of pallet and layer quantities so that you can plan up your order.

    Minimum order quantity is 1 full pallet.

  • Paying by direct debit is the easiest and best way to settle your account affording you 45 days credit from date of invoice.  Our standard terms for other payment methods are that payment is due by the 15th of the month following invoice.

  • We employ strict stock rotation policies throughout our distribution & warehousing facilities to ensure you receive products with the longest possible shelf life.  As a minimum we will supply all goods with at least 50% shelf life remaining, if this is not possible we will ring you and let you know before we ship your order.   

  • If any part of your order is received as damaged or deficient in condition please:

    1. Notify the carrier and notify us on 01942 408600
    2. Endorse the relevant proof of delivery documentation accordingly
    3. Submit the particulars of the claim to us within 3 daysWe must receive within 3 days of receipt of the goods any claims for total or partial loss of the consigment.

     We cannot accept claims received in respect of Goods signed for in good condition.  Returns of incorrectly ordered stock may incur a collection charge.

    Consumer complaints, if your dissatisifed about any Aimia foods product please: 

    1. Write to us giving us a product description / net weight / best before date and production code (can be found next to the best before date). 
    2. Tell us where and when you purchased the product
    3. Please advise us the nature of the complaint.

    We will respond to you, normally within 7 working days.  Please note that all Aimia Foods products are filled by weight not by volume.
